There is no question that most people want to be wealthy; however, there are very few that actually take the necessary steps to achieve it. Why do people want these things, but never work to get them?
The truth is that anyone that has regular employment – from a ditch digger to a lawyer – can achieve total financial freedom with little effort, but sadly there are very few that actually take the steps to do it. The Problem with Building Wealth
The fact why most people never actually build their wealth is due to the fact that they must change to do so, in such face the fear that is associated with this change.
Additionally, since not working to build wealth today does cause any imminent pain, most people never commit to do it. Most people settle with the fact that they are able to pay their bills, drive a car and eat. The question is if you will do what is required to create your wealth when the actual pain of the financial reality that you have exceeds the price that you will have to pay in order to do something about it?
You know that it is smart to invest, save and take steps to learn about personal finance, but if you do not do it, it will not be immediately painful. The fact is that financial security and wealth do not have any immediate call to action, until it is much too late. The fact is if you put off building your wealth, you will have more money for activities in the here and now. Therefore there is no real motivation to put you into action to build your wealth now. This motivation does not come into existence until it is too late to do anything about it, which is where the problem lies.
Most people will make their decisions based on their daily concerns. However, if you truly want to build your wealth you have to make your decisions based on your long term concerns. While this may sound impossible, it usually only takes a few perspective changes and priority changes, and you will be able to begin to build your wealth.
